We are looking for a Retrofit Solutions Designer, who provides order winning solutions based on standard TGW solutions/systems/modules that are competitively & accurately priced with competitive project time schedules to the satisfaction of the client and TGW. As a Retrofit Solution Designer, you are responsible for the detailed design and costing of the solution, interaction with the application engineering and realisation departments, and generating the project's final (external and internal) documentation

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

You identify, understand and challenge the customer requirements and decision criteria
You will perform and define basic data analysis, present results and define and agree with customer on al necessary design parameters
You have full ownership on all material flow diagrams, ROM’s and (cost)calculations on all solution alternatives
You will prepare, organise and present all advantages and/or disadvantages against competitors, flexibility and/or restrictions, used technologies, patents and risk analysis for Concept Review Meetings
You will define all logistic processes for scope of delivery, deliver all necessary inputs to TGW’s Applications Engineering colleagues to create a cost-effective mechatronic solution and create detailed flow diagrams to select the right technologies to be applied in the project
You will supervise and challenge the Applications Engineering colleagues in the creation of the solution layout
You will prepare and organise the design review meeting, execute internal/external workshops & presentations and define the scope of supply
You will execute or coordinate the total price calculation, prepare and organise the Estimator review meeting
You create and update the offer’s technical documentation, prepare and participate in the proposal review meeting and assist in commercial contract pack and definition of the acceptance tests
You prepare all technical documentation for handover to realisation in which you are in the lead and will support the realisation team until Functional Description Specification (FDS) is accepted and approved by customer

What you'll need

You have experience within logistics automation design or similar surroundings and have good mechanics and controls knowledge
You have the ability to analyze and understand customer business processes
You are able to produce concise and clear customer/internal presentations
You have great communication and presentation skills verbal and in writing in English and Dutch on all levels: within the company but also external (towards customers)
You have a market oriented mindset (customer benefits before technology restrictions)
You have a results, cost-effectiveness and solutions-oriented mindset
You are able travel within NE to support the other entities and to work in a multi-disciplinary and intercultural experts’ network and travel within NE to support the other entities
